Counselors Put Their Heart in Their Work
Tiffanie James and Letrece Catchings are counselors at the Alternative Classes who provide services that students receive at the home campus: orientation, placement and scheduling, pupil appraisal, standardized testing and interpretation, identification of special abilities or needs, parent consultation, counseling, and referrals to outside agencies. In addition, Gay De Villa joined the counseling staff in August 2018 as Educational Diagnostician. Students who receive special support assistance are within her area of counseling. Shawn Keith, MS, LPC joined the counseling team in October 2019 as the Specialized Programs Counselor. She provides supportive counseling services to help empower students to make appropriate decisions and resist the use of illicit substances.

The PSAT is administered throughout the district, including the Alternative Classes, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Questions about the PSAT can be answered by counselors Tiffanie James, 832-249-4811 or Letrece Catchings, 832-249-4812.
