December Snow at the Annex
Annex Snow on December 8, 2017The 2017-2018 school year started with a celestial phenomenon - a solar eclipse on August 21, 2017. We donned solar eclipse glasses and tracked the eclipse in chalk drawings. Four days later, on August 24, 2017, a weather phenomenon of magnitude moved in - Hurricane Harvey - and we remained steadfast in the shelter of our homes. Nature surprised us on December 8, 2017 with a dusting of snow!

The 2018-2019 school year zipped in with a focus on caring and the district-wide Culture4Caring initiative. At the Alternative Classes, we beat the heat of August and September by keeping our feet firmly planted so we can "bloom where we grow" via our Parliament class period and sharing our caring.
